Adella C. Lynch, 79, of Great Barrington

Adella was a communicant of Saint Peter’s Church and member of the Womens Guild. She also enjoyed walking, the Senior Center and all their activities and all the fairs.

Adella C. Lynch, 79, of Great Barrington died Thursday December 11, 2014 at Berkshire Medical Center in Pittsfield. She was born in Van Deusenville, Mass., on December 10, 1935, daughter to Michael and Catherine Zajac Kot.

Adella was educated in local schools and graduated from the former Searles High School. She worked at Great Barrington Manufacturing Company and at Great Barrington Nursing and Rehab as a Housekeeping Supervisor for many years. Adella was a communicant of Saint Peter’s Church and member of the Womens Guild. She also enjoyed walking, the Senior Center and all their activities and all the fairs.

Adella’s husband, George Lynch, predeceased her.

Adella is survived by one daughter-in-law, Beth Lynch of Moodus, Conn.; one brother John Kot of Great Barrington; one sister, Theresa Macchi of Great Barrington and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband George Lynch Adella was predeceased by one son, Thomas M. Lynch, who predeceased her on November 8, 2008; four brothers, William Kot, Stanley Kot, Joseph Kot and Amelian Kot; and three sisters, Helena Love, Sophie Wetmore and Mary Biasin.

Funeral services for Adella C. Lynch, who died December 11, will be held on Tuesday December 16, with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at St. Peter’s Church with the Rev. William P. Murphy, pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in St. Peter’s Cemetery. Family will receive friends on Monday December 15 from 4 to 6 p.m. at the BIRCHES-ROY FUNERAL HOME, 33 South St., Great Barrington, MA 01230. In lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy in Adella’s memory may be made to the St. Peter’s Church Restoration Fund in care of the BIRCHES-ROY FUNERAL HOME 33 South St., Great Barrington, MA 01230. Robert ‘Bob’ Hebert, 89, of Monterey

Bob won over 100 races in his career. He was voted SVRA Driver of the Year. He was inducted into the Road Racing Drivers Club, along with such others as Mario Andretti and Stirling Moss. Today, two of Bob’s four grandchildren continue his racing legacy.
