To the editor:
I am writing in support of the W.E.B. Du Bois Sculpture Project, hoping that our town and its citizens understand the importance of his writings, his witness, his serious engagement with justice, as an example we can all be proud of and see the value of by sharing his work with generations to come. The statue is but one of many ways to remind us of what he achieved, and of what still needs to be done.
