350 Mass Action endorses Leigh Davis for state representative for the 3rd Berkshire District

“The divide between climate champions and climate delayers in our legislature is stark. We need representatives who do not simply accept the broken status quo,” said 350 Mass Action Political Coordinator Dan Zackin.

Berkshire County — 350 Mass Action, a grassroots political organization dedicated to supporting climate-focused candidates in Massachusetts, announced on August 30, 2024, its endorsement of Leigh Davis for the 3rd Berkshire District seat in the Massachusetts House of Representatives, as well as Zayda Ortiz for the 35th Middlesex District seat.

“The divide between climate champions and climate delayers in our legislature is stark. We need representatives who do not simply accept the broken status quo,” said 350 Mass Action Political Coordinator Dan Zackin. “At a time when our State Legislature is failing us on climate, transparency, and public accountability, we need transformative leadership to push Massachusetts forward. We are proud to endorse these candidates who are willing to stand and fight for climate justice and climate action on Beacon Hill.”

The endorsement follows a forum hosted by the organization’s Berkshire County chapter on Wednesday, August 21, for candidates vying for the seat formerly held by Smitty Pignatelli.
