The Mohawk Trail (Route 2) runs from Boston to Albany, NY and recently celebrated its 100th Anniversary as America's First Touring Road. In warm weather Topless Mohawk Indians from New York traveled this Trail to trade with the Native Tribes and Foreigners in the Boston Region. Their Chiefs were often Tattooed. In 2017, more women than men are being Tattooed along The Mohawk Trail. This Exhibition is highlighting that story.
