She worked as a teacher in the Pittsfield Public Schools at Stearns and Morningside elementary schools for over 40 years in grades K–4, retiring in 2004.
Dorothy ‘Dottie’ Morrison Keefner, 90, of Great Barrington
Dottie worked for 16 years at the Morgan House in Lee, 16 years as a dining room manager for the Red Lion Inn in Stockbridge and for seven years as an aide for the Massini Bus Company.
Aileen Van Deusen, 89, of Housatonic
Aileen worked for many years as a teacher’s aide for the former Housatonic Elementary School and as a crossing guard.
Robert Farnum, 78, of Great Barrington
In 1986 Mr. Farnum retired from Becton-Dickinson Medical Supplies in Canaan, Connecticut, where he had worked as an architectural draftsman for 18 years.
Lucile Dempsey, 97, of Great Barrington
She enjoyed crocheting, cooking, backgammon, traveling and bird watching, often sending photos of interesting birds to her family. She and Bill traveled across the country many times in their motor home with car in tow.
Samya Rose Stumo, 24, of Sheffield, Mass., global health visionary
En route to Kenya for her first assignment with ThinkWell, Samya perished in the March 10 Ethiopian Airlines plane crash.
Earl Morrison, 87, of Alfred, Maine
Additionally, Earl was a selectman for the town of Alfred for 20 years and was instrumental in the building of the new fire station; the purchase of a new fire truck; and the creation of the new transfer station, the recycling building of which bears his name.

Helena was known for her kind nature and sense of humor. She would talk to everyone she saw and often tell them one of her many jokes; she left people smiling and laughing wherever she went.

He and his wife, Paula Scagliarini Fox, were also dedicated and loving foster parents to at least 250 children for over 30 years.
Regina Dudney, 71, of West Stockbridge, TV producer, founder of Farmers Market
She met Merrill Grant, a budding TV producer, and they formed a close working relationship that lasted more than 40 years, until his death in 2015. Their organization produced such hits as “Kate and Allie,” “That’s Incredible” and “Homicide: Life on the Street.”
Gary Mitchell, 73, police officer in Richmond, West Stockbridge and Sheffield
Gary attended Springfield Technical Community College where he earned his Associate's Degree in Law Enforcement.
